The Keda/Potency KMS810 Anchor Cable Installation Vehicle is a highly specialized piece of equipment designed for the directional installation of anchor cables in the soft rock and large deformation tunnel of Muzhailing Tunnel.
This equipment is the result of collaboration between the owner, the research team at Southwest Jiaotong University, and the construction team at China Railway Tunnel Bureau. It offers an all-in-one solution for drilling, anchoring agent installation and mixing, anchor cable feeding, pre-tensioning and measurement, and grouting. Notably, it is the first equipment of its kind in China to address the challenges related to the installation of anchor cables in large deformation tunnels.

Anchor Cable Installation System
An innovative solution has been developed for installing anchor cables efficiently and effectively. The system makes use of a rock drilling propulsion structure that provides both feeding and mixing functions for the anchor cables. In addition, an auxiliary feeding device has been designed to enable simultaneous feeding and mixing actions.
The mixing work stroke of this system is 2 meters, which allows for more efficient and precise installation of anchor cables. With a propulsion speed during anchor cable mixing of 3m/min, the system is able to work quickly and efficiently to install the anchor cables.
The anchor cable mixing rotation speed is equally impressive, with a minimum requirement of ≥ 300rpm. This ensures that the anchor cables are mixed thoroughly and quickly, with the necessary level of precision and accuracy achieved.

Applications:
Rock drilling system:
The rock drilling system comprises of several components to ensure efficient drilling. The system works by foot locking, advanced small conduit, and system anchor rod to ensure stability during drilling. The drilling diameter ranges between 33-64mm with a maximum drilling depth capability of 4.5m. To ensure quick and efficient drilling, the system boasts a drilling speed of 1-1.5m/min.
Arm system:
The arm system adopts a folding and telescopic structure to allow for height adjustment and positioning during use. The system also has automatic forearm leveling technology, which ensures stability of the arm during use. The height and width of the system are adjustable to enable it to reach up to 12m and a width of 15m respectively.
Engineering chassis:
The engineering chassis consists of four-wheel drive capabilities, allowing it to easily traverse through even the most difficult terrains. The system's maximum climbing ability is 22°, and has a maximum walking speed of 20km/h. Additionally, the system has four-wheel steering capabilities to provide more precise control, and has a minimum turning radius between 3m (inner side) and 6m (outer side).
